Trigger the Bloodshed - Purgation
Formed in 2006, UK’s Trigger The Bloodshed have been making a name for themselves at a very high pass. Their extreme death metal has already brought them many shows and tours, like two upcoming tours with Meshuggah and Cryptopsy, not the least of metal bands I’d say. Purgation is their debut album, so let’s review.

As soon as I think that mediocrity is reigning supreme in the world of death metal, something new comes along and blows me off my feet. This time Trigger The Bloodshed is the band to do so. For one the band sounds like they’re from fucking Canada! Why you ask? Because of the tremendous amount of hyperblasts that is to be found on Purgation. The record is loaded with high speed violence like you would not believe. Names likes Beneath The Massacre, Origin, Cryptopsy and Kataklysm come to mind quite often when listening to this. So it’s pretty obvious Trigger The Bloodshed will please many fans of extreme death metal.

The album is seventeen tracks long, but most of them aren’t that lengthy so you never get bored while listening. It packs a fine production which makes the record easy to follow, yet still brutal as fuck. I can honestly not detect any flaws here! And this is only their first record, and they don’t even exist for two years yet! Think of the mayhem to come! Buy this fucking record if you’re into brutal fucking music! FUCK!!!
