The Legacy - Beyond Hurt Beyond Hell
After a couple of MCDs, line-up changes and a few bumps in the road along the way The Legacy now presents a new release, called Beyond Hurt Beyond Hell. The band’s aim is to create fast and intense hardcore with much melody and passion in it. This description doesn’t sound interesting at all, ‘cause there already are so many bands that mix hardcore with some melody.
Just as hundreds of other bands they’ve done a decent job with this mix, but it can’t be said that they’ve done something very spectacular. Although they try very hard, this release can’t make a lasting impression on the listener. Their hardcore is just too standard, while the melodic parts could have been produced better.
As for a local band they’ve done a great job and people in their surroundings will probably dig this, but as for international standards they just aren’t good and original enough.
