Last week I received a CD that I was looking forward to. It was the self-titled album Amplifier. The album got released on May 17th. This band is from Manchester, UK and I had heard a lot of great things about this band. So let’s listen and see what this band has to offer the music industry these days.
The album starts with ‘Motorhead’, the quality of the CD is pretty good. The first song is just calm. And you can hear these guys have put their heart into this album. The past week I spend some time listening to this album. Because of the good critics I wanted to look for a negative point on this album. But the slow drums and kind of electronic sounds totally fits the style of the CD.
Sad songs like ‘UFOs’ and more energetic songs like ‘The Consultancy’ are creating an unique sound on the album that gives you the shivers. The three members of Amplifier have done an awesome job with this album.
For the fans of Tool, Queens of the Stone Age and Nirvana this CD could be a new revolution. I hope I’ve made you curious because this CD is worth spending your money on! I had to get used to the slow rock but after spending some time I started to love this music.
