Fucked up, thrashy, dirty and ugly black metal. Yes, Aura Noir has a new album! Hades Rise is the name of the successor of The Merciless, which was released in 2004. Besides the usual members, Aggressor and Apollyn, Hades Rise includes guest appearances on guitars from Danny Coralles (Autopsy, Abscess) and Blasphemer (ex-Mayhem).

The only thing that is not dirty about this album is the production. It’s not smooth like a babies butt, but I think even the listeners who can’t stand a bad production will be able to listen the whole album without getting terribly annoyed. For as far as the actual music goes: it’s the typical ugly Aura Noir sound characterized by weird riffs, up speed tempos and raspy vocals performed by Aggressor as well as Apollyn. Do you have a neck like a bull and are you in physical shape to headbang for just about forty minutes? Be my guest! The tracks will for sure work stimulating on certain muscles in your body (don't go there.. I'm talking of a different kind of dirty here).

‘Never change a winning team’; wisdom that obviously is acknowledged by Aura Noir. From the first minute to the last riff they will please you with a grand mixture of thrash metal and old school black metal. The lack of change can be considered easy and maybe even a bit boring, but if Aura Noir has that little special place in your heart, you will certainly appreciate Hades Rise.
