Linea77 - Numbedvd

Numbedvd is Linea77's first official dvd outing. I wont bother you with an introduction to this Italian band..but if you do not know them; imagine a weird hybrid between glassjaw and a hardcore band, with two vocalists and some crazy songs. Anyways, the shiny-round-hey-look-there-is-a-hole-in-it-DVD contains the following items:

Videoclips - Meat, Ketchup Suicide, Potato Music Machine, Moka, Fantasma, Third Moon
Live at MTV Day Bologna 14/09/2003 - Potato Music Machine, Warhol, Ketchup Suicide, Third Moon, Moka, Fantasma, Touch
Live at Reading Festival 25/08/2001 - Intro, Potato Music Machine, mcHuman Deluxe, Ketchup Suicide, Meat, Cocao, Moka, Walk like an Egyption, Touch
Live at TPO Bologna 05/10/2002 - mcHuman Deluxe, Nosedive, Miss it, tutto quello che ho sempre voluto, lo fi boy, cacao
Bonus Features - Making of Meat, Making of Numb, Fantasma, 'Storyteller' audio bonustrack

Earache did a nice job with this DVD. The presentation is very nice, featuring stylish animated menus. I cant say the sound quality of the live concerts is top-notch, but I think you`ll always keep that unless you are really dedicated to recording a live concert. Its much better then the average bootleg quality though. The quality of the videos is as good as it gets, so again kudos to Earache.

One of my favorite parts of the dvd are the making-ofs from the "Numb" and "Ketchup Suicide" album. Its always cool to see a band during the creative writing process. Personally I would have prefered to have one less live concert and more footage of the band on tour or something similar, because its always fun to see the band fool around. Things like that can really add "character" to a band. You would almost think you know the guys!

So is it worth getting? Definitly if you like the band..but for other people I would say try to pick it up if you can find it cheap, or lend it first from a friend.
