TNT - Live in Madrid
This time I had to use my dvd-player instead of my cd-player. I received the latest dvd of TNT named  Live in Madrid. Though TNT released 9 albums since 1982 I’d never heard of them before. Maybe some of you old rockers do…

This dvd should come with an album as well. I only got the dvd but the album contains the exact same concert. I don’t know the date of the gig but do know it’s the second to last concert with the original line-up. All The Way To The Sun was the latest album before Live In Madrid. Just after releasing All The Way To The Sun singer Tony Harnell decided to leave the band. That’s why this dvd could be a perfect collectors item for fans.

I was a bit surprised this show was held in a pretty small venue. The stage isn’t that big as well. It doesn't seem to bother them as they still make a show out of it. TNT is a typical old classic rock band. High pitched vocals, straight forward simplistic drums and rocking guitar riffs.

The sound on the dvd is mixed pretty good. Maybe a bit dry and flat but overall very nice. They used a lot of different camera stands which makes it pleasant to watch. Too bad there aren’t a lot of extra’s on the dvd. Next to the gig in Madrid you’ll find two live performed bonus songs plus a short autograph session video on it. But the original dvd, so not the promo I received, should contain an additional tour documentary and booklet liner-notes from Tony Harnell about his work with TNT. So that makes it more extensive.

So in the end this is a pretty nice package for TNT fans or those who are into this genre.
