Rat City Riot - Load Up
Another release from People Like You Records. In an earlier review I shot my mouth about them, saying that everything we've received from then up to then was all sounding very, very similar. The latest shiny disc received is 'Load Up' by Rat City Riot. Will this one break the cycle of ever similar sounding bands?

The answer is quite simple. It is a well articulated, well thought about: NOPE!

Rat City Riot is a punk rock band that started out in 2003. That's it. That's pretty much all there is to say about this band. The songs sound like...err...well...almost every other punk rock band you can see at your local pub on a thursday, friday, saturday, sometimes sunday, monday, tuesday, and pretty often on a wednesday night aswell. Simple guitars, some breaks, some stereo type punkrock drumming and vocals and a bass guitar that nobody really hears.

Is there nothing good to say about this band then? Sure there is. They rock pretty ok. It's pretty ok to put this record on and play some x-box and shit like that. But basically, that's it.
