Before me lies the debut record of the Swedish thrash/death metal band Tribulation. The band was formed in 2001 and has released three demo records and one EP to date. Let’s see what their first full length entitled The Horror has to offer.

 

Some bands just know how and where to find the sound that makes you want to bang your head. Tribulation is exactly such a band, for they possess an aggressive pulse that goes on throughout every song. The album is filled with nine brutal death metal songs, with apparent hints of their thrash metal past spicing up the mix a bit. Trust me, this shit swings as good as many of the oldies used to do. Think of a nice combination between Slayer and Morbid Angel with a raw (slightly black metal) production and you get the picture.

 

Originality? Zero. Grooving brutality? Very much! That about says it I guess. If you’re looking for some decent grooving and thrashing death metal, Tribulation might be just what you need. Find out and bang your head to it!
