Shattered is a hardcore band and comes from the town I live. Shattered was formed in the late summer of 1999. They recorded their first mini cd ‘From The Heart' in three days in January 2001.In May 2002 the band returned to D Studio in Asse with four new songs. Recorded in only two days, these songs show the distinctive style of Shattered even better. Catastrophe in Me is the first full length album from this band and is released through SCREAM Records.
The first time I popped this album in my car stereo the windows almost got blown out! Wow what a great album, the style can be described as straight up hardcore with some groove and sometimes a melodic part in it.
The guitar parts are very cool and very well played by Rob and Johan. The drums are very loud I wonder how many drum sticks Floris broke during the recordings, and the bass is very tight done by Dennis along with the vocals of Saki this album is one of the albums that belongs among your hardcore collection!
Catastrophe in Me:
This song starts with a melodic intro what makes you really calm but after a while the tempo and vocals pound out of your stereo again, the way the melodic part changes in the hardcore again is very well done.
Every Tear I Left Behind:
Damn this song makes you want to build a moshpit! With guest vocals from Jorge Rosado of Merauder/Rag Men!! This is the one I like most, what a power and passion in this song.
I can’t describe what this song is like you just have to listen for yourself!!
