Intellectual metal monster Andromeda formed in 1999 and has released 4 full length albums since. Their mixture of progressive metal with power elements and bombastic clean vocals made Andromeda one of the top bands in the progressive scene. After the strong Chimera, there is now their fourth and latest longplayer, The Immunity Zone.

Andromeda’s mix of challenging progressive metal has been well received by metal fans all over the globe in recent years. The Immunity Zone features a few more aggressive riffs than we’re used of them, but the melody and challenge is still there.

Take ‘Shadow Of Lucent Moon’, for example. Here, an easy-going intro escalades into an aggressive mix of riffing with powerful, clean vocals. Technically, these Swedes have always been able to deliver. The Immunity Zone continues to do that in a more fashionable sense, since many of the songs contain more catchy riffs and choruses than on previous albums.
