The Bakerton Group - El Rojo
Back in '99 Clutch members decided to sniff glue and make music in a side project called The Bakerton Group. With yet again no info whatsoever to accompany the beautiful music, I am yet again a bit shy on other info on this band. Except that this is a side project done by members from Clutch. So I decided to repeat that again in order to fill the first passage of this review. Hope you like it. If you don't like Clutch it doesn't mean you won't like The Bakerton Group. If you do like Clutch, it doesn't mean you automatically like The Bakerton Group. How's that for a start?! Well now, let's talk music here!! Do you like Mars Volta? Do you like Zu? Do you like musicians taking time to make some damn good music and keep the tapes rolling throughout an entire jamsession? Then you'll love The Bakerton Group! (Which appearantly exists of members form rockband Clutch, did you know that?) From start to end El Rojo takes you on a journey through musical styles ranging from stoner like to jazz! We have horns and keyboards and all the stuff that makes a music lover very very very happy!
But beware folks; This one is an album for the listeners, you don't just put this on and play some x-box, you reaaaaalllyy want (yes you waat it!!) to sit your sweet ass down and listen to this record, because it's just filled with good musicianship. So, get this record, smoke weed and sit the fuck down! Let yourself be taken on a beautiful journey!
