The Heartbreak Motel, a young band formed in November 2000 that combines melody, intensity and hectic to give Punkrock a totally new look. Especially, on stage the five guys harshly and wildly ignite a self-destructive fire that binds and thrills the listening and watching audience.
Although I haven't seen this band live yet, I can tell you this; this part of the biography is based on a true story! Energetically music from the beginning to the very end!
Nine Lives of a Tiger Cat, a Punkrock album which belongs to the top of its genre. With catchy melodies and aggressive but nice screams 'The Motivator' breaks the silence. Followed by, what's in my opinion a great song title, 'Out of Tune but in an Awesome Way'. The songs are short but powerful, like I expected. 'Song for Alan and the Rest of the Gang' starts with a slow intro and has some kind of Emo influences in it. But I can tell you; it's not just the regular Emo, The Heartbreak Motel has created an original style of Emo vs. Punkrock. Then 'Sweet! Sweet! Sweet!' comes up with very varying tempos in it, which doesn't make it boring to listen to the album.
It's obvious that this band gets a lot of credits from me. The band name and titles from the album are simple but catchy and the music is very nice too. Actually I can't compare The Heartbreak Motel to any other band, which makes it even more special to try it out some time!
My favourite song is definitely 'Shithouse Rat Blues' (again a nice title isn't it?). There are those very weird sounds in it and it stays in my head all the time. Great work guys!
