Seven Ends - Demo
Out of the ashes of Dutch bands like Anger Alliance, Blacklist and Blood Drenched comes Seven Ends. Formed in 2007, the band has released their first demo recordings in April this year. Let’s see what they bring to the table.
The band operates in the region of groovy thrash metal with small hints of melodic death metal in it. Think of bands like Chimaira, Hatesphere, Lamb Of God and even stuff like In Flames. Vocally they stick to just growls, grunts and screams. Nothing really original obviously, yet some good headbanging tunes for every average metalhead. The music has a good mid-tempo groove to it, making it an accessible and easy listening recording.
Seven Ends has managed to deliver a promising demo record for sure. The only thing I’d like to mention as commentary is that they need to be careful with the use of their guitar fiddles, especially the one in the track ‘Non Serviam’ sounds a bit uncertain and out of rhythm. Yet there is always room for improvement, and this is still just their first release so who knows what will come from these boys? Keep it up!
