From the beginning of the first song, which is more of an intro track, I’m already sceptic. During the first couple of minutes there’s such a great deal of keyboard action that I lost track a couple of times. This reminds me of his other project that I recently reviewed which was drowned in a sea of keyboards sounds. Concluding from the first couple of songs this isn’t an exception.

 

The vocals on this album are from the soprano Kortessa. She gives all her heart within the songs and the classical character of her voice contributes to the dreaminess of the songs. Most of the time I’m able to picture myself flying above the clouds as soon as she starts to sing, sadly enough there are always too much synths present that pull away the attention. Especially since the songs are often way too long and filled with minutes of endless synthesizers sounds.

 

I guess that Thanasis Lightbridge isn’t the right person to get me excited about this music. During the album I miss the power, the exciting passages and the heaviness of crushing riffs. Indeed all the things that make metal great to listen to.
