Steve Earle - Townes
Besides receiving a very, very big stack of metal albums (with a LOT of variety in level of muscianship etc.), these days even the better country acts have discovered our beautiful website! If you don’t want anything to do with country, bluegrass or whatever label you want to give it, stop reading now and put your Striborg CD or DVD back on and eat some small animal while he’s still alive. For the metalheads here that look to have something else than their regular meal, welcome!Steve Earle is no joke. He’s been around for a while and knows his stuff. Townes is his latest effort to leave the ranch and play the countryside, and even Letterman (coincidentally, I was watching that night). Townes turned out to be a great country album that will be great for music lovers all around the globe. It’s accessible, because it’s not just that ‘come on Cletus!’ typ o’ country, but it also has some good heartfelt songs by a man with great skill and a great voice!
This album is great, while you’re driving your big ass truck down the road, coming from some metal festival somewhere. It’s also pretty nice on your Ipod for that matter....It’s just really good!
