Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - Have A Nice Trip
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter have brought out several albums
where they have a great progression on every album. The debut
called Soft & Stronger is a preview on the later work. Because of
the big progression in their songs they have created an album which
is an absolute mark.
The album starts with Vier Reiter Stehen Bereit. With fast guitars and drumwork and a menacing scream. It starts off heavy but after a minute we are treated with a very clean part
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter always amazed me with their sudden changes in tempo and style.
Also on this album where songs like Warum?, Ride On, Du kleiner Wicht, We Will Never Die and Wo Die
Geister Ganz Still Sterben absolutly kick ass due to the heavy guitars and because of the wicked vocals by Volk-Man and Eumer they hack into your brains. There are also some negative sides on this album be-
cause sometimes the songs lack real power. But for the rest of it, it's absolutely great
Their drummer (Sir-G) has the power to produce these supreme blastbeats and also has the
technique for the more slower melancholic parts. A song like Seid Willkommen is an example for this
as the song is very melancholic. Personally I favor the more brutal parts in the music, but the
more slower songs are definetly not bad! Nice bonus feature on the Digipack version of the album
is the Manowar cover Master Of The Wind. Very nice done and I must conclude this album has
all the better features of the past Reiter albums.
