Satellite - A Street Between Sunrise And Sunset
Satellite is a new band which features the prime member of Collage, Wojtek Szadkowski. In the beginning Satellite was a solo project without a name. But when the time was there, Wojtek found some musicians and the band was born Satellite exists since 2000 and have brought out their debut album called A Street Between Sunrise And Sunset.
The album sounds very professional and the music is more of a relaxing kind. The Evening Wind is a ballad that lasts for 12 minutes, which isnt an exception. Almost all songs are very long and epic. The keyboard has a prime role in the music and it sounds very nice. The promo department described the music as Progressive metal. Progressive yes, Metal no. I would think this almost as relaxing pop music with progressive rock influences in it. With songs like On The Run (which is my favourite), No Disgrace and Fight the album sounds very easygoing. Its quite hard to give a good judgement for this album because the music is for a very wide public. The music is something that you can listen, even if you havent heard guitar music before.
Satellite have created a very strong debut with A Street Between Sunrise And Sunset. I cannot say I really love this stuff, but I cant say it sucks. The album settled me in such a way that I have to reckon with that in the ending mark. Satellite will begin recording a new album which hasnt a release date. Just be patient until then.
