Sacriversum - Mozartia
Sacriversum is a band that has a quite long history, and in fact this new album is the 5th album in their now 10 year existence. The band was founded in 1992 and their first album was brought out in 1993. They played a couple of gigs with Vader. Lets see what 10 years of Sacriversum has brought upon us. The new album called Mozartia is, as you maybe can sense from the name, an ultimate tribute to the great composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. All the songs are influenced by Mozart and in this album his life is being described. The intro song Born To Be The Best sounds quite strong. However, when the female vocals enter into the music, it blows the tense completely. Sorry that I must say it, but it sounds truly awful, while the male vocals do sound strong. Its a shame that something like the vocals can bring down a good album. Truly, the music is awesome, well played and quite interesting. Songs like Young Traveller, Lorenzo De Ponte and Salieri are nice to listen. The album is musically quite strong but the female vocals are just not really interesting. Its just the very accent in the voice that makes it fall down. With a good female voice they would certainly attract more attention and I fear Sacriversum have to try again to deliver something that would see the light in Europe, and not just in Poland.
