Firesampler - #3
Even though it is very hard to review a compilation album that is intended as a free sampler, I don’t mind checking out some new music that I haven’t heard yet. So here we go with this record from the Finnish label Firebox.
 
We start out with one of my new favourite bands; Gojira. I still haven’t bought any of their records yet (lack of cash) but I will. This track is a great one, and so is the entire album of that band. To be honest it is the only track I really like on this disc.
For the rest there is a collection of black metal by acts as Enochian Crescent and Wraith Of The Ropes, doom metal by Let It Flow and My Shameful, heavy metal by Misery Inc. and Manitou and some other stuff.
 
The smaller genres also get a chance on this disc, like folk metal from Manegarm and some industrial from Manes. It even features a track of upcoming sensation Raunchy. It’s a very varying collection that will have something for most metal-loving people. It depends on your taste which track you will appreciate, and which ones you will hate. And believe, both categories are represented.
