Supremacy starts with a little intro and after several seconds Hatebreed starts firing their songs. The album is full of the typical Hatebreed ingredients, the riffs, Jamey’s aggressive voice and typical Hatebreed songs. During the first song ‘Defeatist’, I’m still getting in the mood but during the second song ,’Horrors Of Self’, a grin is upon my face that even couldn’t be removed with a sledgehammer.

 

Although the Hatebreed formula has been copied many times by other bands it’s still great to hear the masters self at work. Because an uninspired Hatebreed album is still better than most of the hardcore releases these days. But luckily enough Supremacy is far from uninspired, Jamey Jasta has been through a lot lately and that results in great lyrics that not only spits around but also makes you believe in yourself.

 

It’s obvious Hatebreed created another killer album with songs like ‘To The Threshold’, ‘Horrors Of Self’ and ‘Give Wings To My Triumph’. The only point with albums like this is that you like to smash things, on the other hand that isn’t strange with a song like ‘Destroy Everything’. Anyway Supremacy is another quality album from Hatebreed which the fans can buy blindfolded.
