Well, it brings us a quality MCD that’s really about the melody. This music somehow always reminds me of film music. And with that I mean certain passages in the songs. It’s like seeing a big battlefield where the music puts even more excitement into the scene. An atmosphere that’s mainly created by melody with, as the absolute leader; the keyboards.

 

Although I can really appreciate this kind of music once in a while I’m having trouble with getting used to some vocal parts. For example in the third track, ‘The Only Truth’, the way vocalist Kaide sings is really something you have to get used to. It’s convincing but on the other hand it sometimes is almost funny. But the more you listen to it the more convinced you’ll be by this way of singing. Assuming that these guys try to create a serious product of course.

 

Don’t expect something new here ‘cause this has been done before a lot. For some reason though, every song has its own pull-factor which strengthens, in my opinion, the quality of the music. I don’t always like the songs until there’s that particular part in the song that makes me think; “Yeah! That’s what I was waiting for!”

 

I won’t listen to Vampire a lot more in the future. But that’s more a matter of taste. The music isn’t bad at all but not refreshing either. Just find out yourself if you’re into melodic (goth) metal.
