End Of April - If I Had A Bullet For Everyone
When I saw End Of April last year they were supporting Agresion. They really stunned me with the power they showed on stage, it was enormous. And last week, when Seamiew Records sent us the new album If I Had A Bullet For Everyone and I was the one who jumped for it. I was really curious about this album and directly pushed it in my CD player. I have listened to it often and finally I can give my opinion.
End Of April was formed at the end of April 1999. The plan from Allan, Otto and Allard to start a new band with a new sound. They wanted to put all of the best hardcore, metal and punk-rock into their music. And so they did.
The last time I reviewed the EP Divided By Numbers, and that one was great. The new album contains one song of this EP named Divided. This was one of the songs on the EP that got my attention. This because the riffs and lyrics are good. The choice to put this track on the album, definitely was a good one.
The rest of the album really made an impression on me. The album sounds good and Allen use his vocal capability very well. The album, with its perfect mix between punk and hardcore, is a fucking great album to listen to in the car. Allen have got a voice that you can hear in several bands but combined with the music End Of April found a magic formula.
The song I love the most on this album is 200%. This song proves that End Of April has made it. The lyrics are good and the music is just right.
A minor is that the album sounds Dutch. With this point I mean that you can hear that it is not a huge production but it still has got a charm even if it doesnt sound 100% professional. It is not something I get annoyed by but that is just my opinion.
Overall End Of April has set a hell of an album to start with. The Dutch/Belgium and German Hardcore and Punk scene will never be the same with this band playing in it.

This album is a must for each Dutch punk and to some of the hardcore freaks. And again, if you can see this band live, Do it because they are great!!! End Of April got a powerful and great live show. If you are in the audience with these guys, prepare to get shocked!
