Far From Finished - Living In The Fallout
After a stack of demos and splitts, punkers Far From Finished from Boston come ripping with this fine full-length release.
Living In The Fallout is a nice combination of punkrock and punk 'n roll that is sometimes surplussed with a neato solo, it is a release that will please the fans of The Generators, The Bones or even the later (melodic) work of Blood For Blood. Dare I say a hint of Rancid?
Worth mentioning has to be the crystal clear production. I really enjoy an album that is outbalanced propperly. Props to producer Jim Siegel (Dropkick Murphys/ The Unseen). Well who wouldn't.
This album is a clear cut case of quality over originality. As for the Far From Finished themselves, I get the impression they're just around to play their songs and tell us their stories. Straight, full-on punk attitude with not too much on the side.
A definite tip for the the enthousiast of ballsy punkrock. Tip: the song 'Just Us Kids', a sureshot singalong. Worth a listen.
