This Boston based thrash-attack unit formed in the beginning of 2007. Since that time their continuous playing, partying and thrashing, made them climb slowly to the top of the underground crossover/thrash/hardcore scene. After releasing their first 7” and playing on numerous pizza-parties it became time to write a full length album. And here we are with Brainwreck.
 

Ramming Speed is here with a blistering full length album, just in time to take a piece of the New Wave Of Thrash Metal. This album is straight in the line with others like Municipal Waste, (old) Sacred Reich, Attitude Adjustment, Gamma Bomb and Bonded By Blood. Nowadays in every small village, there’s popping up a thrash-metal band and most of the time they recycle Exodus or Tankard riffs without any real passion. Ramming Speed is a pleasant surprise though. The energy, pleasure and passion are actually gushing out of my speakers and made me thrash my room in a few minutes. This is how crossover hardcore should sound like! Mix the best riffs out of thrash-metal, with the energy of hardcore and perhaps the speed of crust/grind bands and there you have the recipe for Ramming Speed.
 

Lyrically they're about some serious social critical, political related subjects like American xenophobia and terrorist paranoia. Of course there are also the typical party, thrash lyrics about a lot of booze, a zombie killing lawyer and Thor’s Hammer. A highlight on this album is the fourth song, called ‘All In All’, which sounds like a classic Sacred Reich tune from their Ignorance era. Awesome thrash song, which kicks you in the head! After that we get a more grindy, crusty song with the brilliant title ‘Shane Embury Is The Brad Pitt Of Grindcore’ (hell yeah), that is just ripping fast and blows everything away.
 

Ramming Speed created a brilliant mixture of two decades worth of thrash-metal, punk and hardcore and pours it out like a thick, smooth fudge stream. Check this out if you are into fast thrash-metal/crossover hardcore like Municipal Waste, Attitude Adjustment and the likes. You will get wasted!
