Soulfly - European Tour
Finally Soulfly was coming to the Netherlands on Monday March 17th. They played in the 013 Tilburg. The support for Soulfly was Dimension Seven. A Dutch metal band from Arnhem. They used this evening to promote their new album Infinite Madness.
Dimension Seven
Dimension Seven started at eight oclock playing their set. The first time I saw them was Ozzfest last year and they played very well there. In the 013 they played good as well, the only problem was that the audience wasnt 100 percent behind the band, maybe because they had expected more for their 26,-. After 40 minutes Dimension Seven finished their set. We want to take this opportunity to give the Dimension Seven Drummer Roy a big thumb up because he played a verry good show!
Soulfly
The stage was decorated great with great blankets with the Tribal and off course, the 3 and before them were great heavy chains, hanging around the stage. It looked great.
At a few minutes past nine, the stage was completely covered with smoke. And there the legend came. Max walked upon the stage and immediately started with Downstroy. The crowd was going crazy and Soulfly was definitely enjoying the show. After Downstroy they started SeeknStrike. Max was communicating very well with the Dutch audience.
When the drum solo started the audience was quiet but when it proceeded, the crowd started to make more noise and when max appeared with a drum around his neck, it was one great spectacle for a few minutes and after that, Soulfly just continued the show with new songs like LOTM,Zumbi but also old time classics from Supultura. They played Roots Bloody Roots, Refuse Resist, Nailbomb and Territory. At the end of the show drummer Roy Mayorga was standing on his drums and hitting the drums as hard as he could.
We just missed songs like Bleed or Three of Pain with Richie Cavalera and from the new album Enterfaith. But the show was great and were looking forward to the next show of Soulfly in the Netherlands!
