Coldworker calls it quits
Coldworker, Sweden-based "blasting" death metal band consisting of current and former/current members of such acts as Nasum, Relentless, Ruin and Phobos, has called it quits. The group says in a statement: "Everybody in the band doesn't want to do it anymore, so we feel the best thing is to just hang it up and be done with it. There's no bad blood between the members and we remain friends.

"Thanks a bunch to everybody who supported us through the years, buying albums and t-shirts and coming to the shows; you are the best! Big thanks also to Listenable Records, Relapse Records and to André Alvinzi, who was an important part of the early days of the band.

"None of us is quitting music and we'll see you around in other bands.

"Thank you and goodbye."

Coldworker's third album, "The Doomsayer's Call", was released in February 2012 via Listenable Records. The Cd was recorded in part at Soundlab Studios in the group's hometown and features 13 songs. Mixing took place at Unisound studios with Dan Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia, Dissection).

The cover artwork for "The Doomsayer's Call" was created by the Swedish artist Pär Olofsson who has previously worked with such bands as Malevolent Creation, Immolation, Immortal, Exodus and Dying Fetus.
