Rob Zombie: Houston, Dallas shows to be filmed for forthcoming concert DVD
Rob Zombie's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Mayhem Festival performances in Houston and Dallas, Texas on August 3 and August 4, respectively, will be filmed for the band's first-ever concert Dvd.

Says Zombie: "Come to the Houston and Dallas shows in your best Zombie gear and we will get you in the movie! Remember, the crazier you are... the more screen time you will get!"

In a recent interview with the Albany, New York radio station Q103, Rob stated about his plans to capture the band's live show for a concert Dvd: "[Doing a concert Dvd] always seemed like a huge nuisance, truthfully. We had a live record and that took a million years to do. And a live Dvd, for some reason to me, always seems like a nuisance, because after the show is done, I don't care. I don't want to relive it. I mean, a certain member of the band films every show and wants to watch it immediately after the show. And it aggravates the fuck out of me. Who gives a shit? The show is over, I don't care. I never wanna har about it again, I never wanna see it again. Like, I never watch anything — a Tv show I've been on; I don't care. Once it's done, it's done. But I figured at least once we should film it."

He continued: "We've had so many big crazy stage shows over the last many, many years. And we never filmed anything with [Rob's former band] White Zombie back then. I mean, there's little clips here and there, like [footage from] Brazilian television or something…

He added: "We haven't [filmed any footage for the concert Dvd] yet. We're gonna do it in Texas when we get to Texas [on the current Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival], but who knows?! I may change my mind at the last minute."

Zombie recently gave an update on the progress of his next movie as a writer and director, "Broad Street Bullies", about the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team of the 1970s that were famous for beating the Soviet Union's team at the time and notorious for their violent tactics on the ice. Zombie said about the project, "As of right now, the script is done, 'cause that was a long process, putting a script together. And we're just sort of putting the financing together, putting the structure of the film together, all the boring stuff, and also beginning the early process of casting, trying to figure out who's gonna play who and what's gonna happen."

Zombie plans to shoot most of the movie in Philadelphia.

Zombie's most recent film, "The Lords Of Salem", will be out on Blu-ray and Dvd on September 3.

Zombie's fifth solo album, "Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor", was released in April and entered the Billboard album chart at No. 7 with first-week sales of 34,000 copies.
