Descend Into Depravity is the sixth full length record this extreme tech death metal monster spews out. Not much has changed in the formula, highly fast death metal combined with extremely fast licks, blasts and ultra mega breakdown grooves. To turn things up a bit, the band has incorporated hyperblasts into their sound for the first time, making the band sound even more extreme than before. Of course the nationalistic right-wing lyrics and symbols are still present in their work (one of the reasons I prefer Misery Index, mwuhaha!), but that should not affect my judgement on their music. Which is of a level that you can call yourself one of the leaders in technical death metal. There I said it! And it’s fucking true!

 

I’m not going to elaborate much more about this release. If you liked the previous releases of Dying Fetus, you can pick this record up blindly. The production and sound are sweet, the songs are good and I can already see the massive circle pits, headbanging and walls of death to songs of this disc on their upcoming tours. Descend Into Depravity, well fuck yeah!
