Human Demise - Demo
Human Demise is an aggressive hardcore band from Noord-Brabant, The Netherlands.
I got their demo from one of their shows.

First positive point: €3. €1 a song. That’s the way it should be.

Lately I’ve seen a lot of demo’s that have been recorded in back-alleys, attics, small rehearsal rooms and the likes. I know it’s a lot of money to go to a studio with you first demo, but hell, just do it. It sounds so much better. These guys have done it the right way. Human Demise have recorded this demo in ‘De Studio’ in Assen, Belgium.

Next tip: Have those CD’s and their covers printed somewhere! Again worth it. Make sure you have fitting artwork! Again, nice touch guys. The cover suggests a really brutal sound! I’m psyched! And they didn’t do anything yet. Now that’s the way it should be.

The first thing I notice when I put it on is that there are two guitars on this record. Although they cannot make this work on stage, because they only have 1 guitarist, it makes the sound so much fuller.

The sound these guys put down calls for one hell of a pounding.
I like to think of it as a 25taLife/Sworn Enemy mixup with some other influences here and there. Parts that mosh things up, fast double-bass stuff.
All the riffs are great, yet many of them sound somehow very familiar. And now to get to the point: They have some great stuff put together here, but they need to take this and evolve more of their own sound from it. I can not say that I hear a distinctive sound that I would call Human Demise’s.

No mistaking, I love this, but I think this demo could use a little more of a personal touch.
These musicians sound like they are capable of a lot! I look forward to hearing more of them!
