Again MetalRage wandered around in it's own country, The Netherlands, and found another Dutch band willing to be victim of or the one who inflicts brain damage. This time it will be skiptherush. skiptherush is a band from Amsterdam, with members of other projects such as ConQbine, Downforce, Spinach, Amalgation and Wit is Out. The bands fell apart to combine their powers: skiptherush was born. ConQbine was the support act of Alien Ant Farm, and almost everybody agreed that this band threw AAF of the stage and left them bleeding (figurative ofcourse). Three members of ConQbine formed skiptherush, so I think I'll have to expect something good. 

The mini-cd starts pretty energetic, kinda punk alike, but the drums are more slowed down and the voice is very melodic. Sometimes it reminds me of The Apex Theory and Racoon, but this band sounds more evolved. These guys know what they are doin, and they're doing it the right way. Do not expect fast riffing or high speed precise picking, but slowed down songs which are beautiful in their own special way. As I mentioned before, the songs start their first seconds in punk style, slow down and turn into melodical easy listening songs, with very good and melodic vocals. The fourth track on this mini-CD is in my opinion the best one, Good Or God. It starts in a kind of slow industrial style with clear vocals, to turn in a beautiful strong song. I advice you to check this out if you are into the more slow melodical styles of music, 'cause these guys know how to make beautiful music.
