Ignite, Misconduct and Antillectual - Ignite and Misconduct 2004 tour

Antillectual, Misconduct and Ignite in ‘de Goudvishal’ in Arnhem.

Buzzin Hornet, 3 girls and me on our way to a great hardcore show! What can go wrong? Nothing I'd say! Apart from not being able to fully operate my left elbow, losing a wallet in the middle of the night and being cramped in the back seat with 2 of the girls (which was definately the most pleasurable of the three above mentioned events) nothing but good things!

We arrived at "de Goudvishal" and were quickly inside.

Antillectual started giving us a good show. Sadly enough one of the singers, who was also the guitarist, couldn’t get his vocals flowing with the right tone. Which is sad, because if he gets his vocals together it really is a great band. The songs are built up well, 1 screaming and one semi-clean voice. Good hardcore breaks played by a good drummer. If they get their vocals right on stage, this punk-rock band will be able to get very far! Check this band out in the future. It’s worth it.

So next up: Misconduct. Sweden gives us another great band. Of course not new to the industry but still giving us something new to look out for. This is a band with an incredible live show. The singer (Fredrik) constantly gives us a shitload of high kicks and all sorts of old-school and kung-fu moves. And the crowd seemed to like it! Also the constant communication with the crowd to trying to have them sing along is really appreciated.
He really speaks to the crowd, especially to the hardcore crowd we are left with today.
Tight band, good music. The songs are built-in with great chants. I can tell you: if everyone knew the chants it would be one big fucking madhouse. This band is made for a madhouse!

Ah, there we go. A packed ‘Goudvishal’ full of Ignite fans. How will we survive! Barely I guess! "Who sold out now!" "Ignite did!". And for the next 3 songs Zoli was jumping around, but not able to get the volume of his voice above the one of the crowd! Everyone was singing along. This was one great show for Ignite. Lot of oldies which everyone knew and everyone pretty much had a great time.
And guess what! New line-up! New guitar player, Alex showing off his Rock’nRoll skills with some Guns ‘n Roses and a little AC/DC. Ofcourse we all loved that! Why? It means we will be getting a lot of new influences in this band. It seems to be a good development.
The new songs sounded good and were received well by the crowd and everyone is looking forward to see the new album! They will be hitting the studio so we can see the new album along the horizon. And what can I say, it’s about time!
