Skip The Rush - Chaperone
Last year Metalrage received the first promo of Skip The Rush and our reviewer was positive about that promo. Last week the new EP Chaperone landed on my desk and I inserted it into my computer. I really enjoyed the last album, but I was curious to the new work.

The members of Skip The Rush all come from other bands, that no longer exist anymore. Skip The Rush on the other hand is alive and kicking, and how! The band started in 2002 and its roots are in Amsterdam. The band claims to play Neuro Rock and if you want to know what it is, the only solution is to go and see them play live. Lets see what this band has done all this time.

The EP starts out with a normal riff but when the rest of the band jump in you can really hear that this band is unique. The music is straight to the point and great to listen to. The vocals are one of the best that Ive heard in the Netherlands, especially the extremely high parts and the clean singing of the lead singer.
You really can get into the great music during the entire EP. The intro of Eye White reminds me of Placebo and the vocals during that song confirm that there is a little bit of this style in the music. In the bio this name comes forward as well.

Overall this EP is a great Dutch product and once again Im proud to live in the Netherlands. Currently the band has got some shows with A Days Work and if I get the chance, I will go and see these bands. If you like the louder rock, go to see this band live or try to get some songs of this band, they rock!
