Every year in de first weeks of August the obudai Island in the Danube is well visited by hundred-thousands partypeople, hippies, metalheads, musiclovers and rastafari. This phenomenon is widely known as the Sziget Festival in the city of Budapest. Within the last couple of years it has gained a lot of attention of the European festival crowd. Which is not very strange if you see the acts that have visited the festival in the last couple of years. Just a few names that features on this years Sziget Festival, Bad Religion, Biffy Clyro, Blur, Enter Shikari, Floggin Molly, La Pagentina, Skunk Anansie, The Bots, The Gaslight Anthem and Triggerfinger


Ever since this festivaI was brought to my attention by fellow Metalrage crewmembers in 2005, I had the strong urge to particpate in this insanely good festival. Sadly enough it took me until 2010 to litterly do so, which I still regret till this day. In the last couple editions Sziget has left an everlasting impression on myself. So it's not very strange that i'm already looking forward visiting this festival again and covering it on a daily basis.
