Volbeat - A night to remember
You probably recognize the days that probably everything goes wrong. Well the 27th of September was that kind of day. I'm not going to bother you with everything that went wrong but it was mainly the reason that I missed the support act of Volbeat called Waxy. I'd never heard of them before but when I listened to their music on their myspace I don't get the feeling I missed a thing.

Sadly enough Volbeat had already started their show when I entered the venue. I've seen Volbeat once before on the Fields Of Rock Festival earlier this year and to be honest that left quite a mark. You can say that was the reason I had to see them again. After a few songs to loosen up the audience and the band, the party got really started when Micheal Poulsen passed a bottle of Jack Daniels around in the audience. After this the song 'Radio Girl' kicks in and the party is complete.
From this point on, Volbeat is playing a winning game. With a great mixture of both new and old songs, goofing around on stage and pulling different people onstage (both crewmembers and fans) they continue with a great show. If we might believe Volbeat we were a very special crowd that night and so they thanked us with playing two rough versions of new songs that they will record somewhere in the beginning of next year. I must say what I heard was very good and also a bit surprising which promises a lot for the next album.

After a few more sing a long songs the show was coming to an end. After the encore the band promised us to come back after the show to have a beer with us. Well they did and gave the fans a moment to talk with their heroes. Sadly enough I had to turn back home in my car. With a big grin upon my face I entered the parking lot and I rushed home singing along with my 'Radio Girl'.
