Illdisposed - We Suck
When Carn, Boek and me visited the Illdisposed show last month we received a DVD from the band for reviewing. After passing this DVD around because no one could play it, I was the lucky guy who could see the DVD. The show we saw was not that good, because of a lack of audience; I was looking forward to the Danish crowd and the title was promising. On this DVD we can find 2 videos and a full live set.
To start, the concert is fucking great. The quality of the instruments and vocals are of excellent quality and the footage is just of brilliant quality. You can clearly see the show has been prepared very well and the producing has been done excellently. Too bad they are constantly talking in Danish between the songs, I can’t understand shit and I am glad when they start playing again.
If I had to give a mark for this DVD without watching the footage, the mark would be extremely low. This because the cover isn’t of good quality and the DVD seems to be a copied version. And they were asking 13 Euros for it! But the show is worth every cent.
When I heard Dark coming out of my TV speakers I just had to bang my head because this is one of the best songs of 2004. On this DVD, the song is being performed very well; the show in Rotterdam wasn’t that good and this gives me a good feeling about the band.
At the show they already presented us the video for Still Sane,which takes place in a hospital for the mentally ill. The band told us they were broken and were very drunk but the video is of good quality, even though it isn’t that original.
For me the minors of this DVD are the talking in Danish, the bad cover and finding a player to watch the DVD, but the show is one hell of a piece of work. If you ever want to experience a great show you have to watch this DVD. It is brilliant in every way, they told us they were the best Death Metal band from Denmark and they have proven themselves on this disc.
