Fortarock - One of the few good metalfestivals in Holland
This year Fortarock celebrates their 5th year anniversary. The festival that started five years ago in the cosy Brakkenstein Park in Nijmegen has grown so much in the past couple of years that this year they had no other choice that to move to the Goffertpark. The location is known to heavy music since the infamous Dynamo festival spread it's wings their in the year 2000. Over the years the park was used for one day festivals like Fields Of Rock and Soniphere.

What can we expect from this years edition from Fortarock. Well first of all they managed to get Rammstein. Of course the true heavy metal heads will complain but, what's better after a day of heavy music and beers then listening to some good old tunes that you can sing along and enjoy a nice pyro show at the same time. But even if you don't want to see Rammstein there are still a lot of other acts that are quite enjoyable. What to think of Five Finger Death Punch, Enslaved, Heaven Shall Burn, Entombed, Airbourne, Mastodon, Amon Amarth, Kreator, Volbeat, Opeth and Hatebreed.

Although those are indeed some good names to enjoy a drink or two. I do hope they're able to catch the cosiness that was always present at the other location because it was certainly a major sellingpoint of this festival in the past.
