Papa Roach - Showing the Netherlands what rock is all about

After the legendary concert at the Lowlands festival this year it was time for Papa Roach to come back to the Netherlands and do it all over again. This time they played in Tilburg (013), supported by Minus. We were looking forward to this show for a long time because the show we saw earlier this year was amazing, energetic and powerful.

The support of Papa Roach was Minus, when the band entered the stage they looked like a real Rock'n'Roll band. And that was the genre they played. This band would be great for Velvet Revolver but they don't fit Papa Roach. However the show they played was energetic and the singer and drummer were going crazy. Both the guitar players weren't that active on stage and that makes the show less interesting. They played for almost 45 minutes and left the stage pretty fast, like they didn't like the show.

After a long set change with almost no sound checking it was time for the main act to enter the stage. The show they played was once again marvellous. All the members of the band are visible enjoying their life being a rock star and are born entertainers. In the pop world you have got something that is being called the X factor, I think that there aren't many rock bands that have this X factor. But Papa Roach definitively does. When I was taking pictures in front of the stage the energy was coming from both directions, the band was feeding the crowd and vice versa, It was a privilege to witness this. Papa Roach isn't my kind of band to listen but their new album isn't that bad, besides that the band even can make you move if it isn't your kind of music.

After a set of a little bit more than an hour and two extra songs the show was over. It sure was a great live show and if I get the chance to see them again I sure will. They did the same thing as they did on the Lowlands festival, they showed the Netherlands which rock band is No 1 on the stage!
