Primordial frontman's Dread Sovereign to make its live debut at RoadburnDread Sovereign, the project featuring vocalist Alan "Nemtheanga" Averill of Irish pagan metal masters Primordial, will make its live debut at the Roadburn festival, which will run for four days — from Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21 (the traditional Afterburner event) at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland.
Years of string hacking and slashing on guitar have finally come to realization, as Nemtheanga is backed by Dubh Sol (Primordial) on drums and Bones (Zom, Wizards) on guitar.
The blueprint is rough, raw, old-school doom metal which draws influences from Venom, Saint Vitus, Cirith Ungol and touches of late '80s early sepulchral black metal.
Not intended to re-invent the wheel just to give it a good kicking in the true old evil metal fashion, Dread Sovereign's appearance at Roadburn will be commemorated by the release of a limited vinyl through Roadburn's own label.
