Various Artists - Roadrunner Roadrage 2006
We’re living in the year 2006. The fifth year of Roadrunners Roadrage and therefore the year of the fifth Roadrunner Roadrage dvd. A disc packed with videos of quite a few bands from the RR-roster. This time, the dvd contains 29 videos.

Like the previous years, the dvd contains videos of the big RR artists like Slipknot, Fear Factory, Soulfly and Machine Head. Of course it’s nice to have these on an officially released dvd, but what makes this dvd really special are the videos you won’t see very often on TV or the internet. In fact, some of them were completely unknown to me before I got his dvd. Add a low price to it and you got yourself your (fifth) yearly Roadrunner present for a nice price.

Lately there has been quite a few bands that released their album and made a new video for their single. Of course we all know about the latest Stone Sour album and we all know about Hatebreed’s Supremacy. But also a band like Khoma released a video. A video for the track ‘Medea’ is what this band presents us to get to know them. Other bands that just released a new album/video are Sevendust, 36 Crazyfists and Satyricon.

Of course there’s also some older videos on the disc. Presented by lots of other bands, of which a few will release their album later this year; Trivium, Killswitch Engage and Terror.

Some of my favorite videos of this years edition are Slipknot’s ‘The Nameless (live)’, just because Slipknot has always been something special for me live and it will always stay something special to me. Soulfly’s ‘Frontlines’ because of the impressive images showed in the video. Hatebreed’s ‘To The Threshold’ because of its simplicity but also because of its strong effect it may have on many people and Khoma’s ‘Medea’, just because it’s a freaky video.

Well, I could tell you a story about every video but guess what? I’m not going to do that. If you like most of the Roadrunner bands you’ll probably buy this dvd anyway.
