Like the previous editions this DVD contains some of RR�s greatest artists, known by everybody for their extreme, beautiful or devastating music. But of course there is also some space for up and coming bands like Black Stone Cherry and our Dutch pride � for some � Delain. But what to think of bands like Megadeth and Dream Theater, both great names that were added to the RR roster earlier this year. Add up some, to me, unknown acts like Delight and Madina Lake and it seems like this DVD has become even more diverse than ever!

Some of my favorites on this DVD are Stone Sour�s �Through Glass� for its original approach, 3IOB�s �The Goatriders Horde� for it�s always great to see this Neanderthal sing with such a high voice, Satyricon�s �The Pentagram Burns� for the fact the vocalist Satyr can look so scary, even on screen and Black Label Society�s �Concrete Jungle� among others.

 

Still there are (again) two things that slightly bother me. The first being censured videos like for example in Stone Sour�s �Sillyworld�, why can�t you just say �your ass�? That�s not shocking is it? And the second being videos that are actually different from the original song. Like in Killswitch Engage�s �My Curse�. That�s really a shame �cause I think every fan would like to see the original and � in this case � better song of the two.

 

All in all this edition once again became a nice addition to the entire collection. Fans will probably buy this anyway and those who don�t, well�they don�t. On to the 2008 edition!
